Pirelli introduces the P ZERO Race TT, the fastest tire in its range

Pirelli introduces the P ZERO Race TT, a tire offering optimal performance for professional racers and the most athletic amateurs. Manufactured in Pirelli’s recently renovated factory in Bollate, just outside Milan, this tire completes Pirelli’s range of competition tires and builds on the legacy of the P ZERO Velo TT, which marked Pirelli’s return to the cycling world in 2017 by winning several important victories.

SMARTEVO COMPOUND AND LITE CASING

The P ZERO Race TT is the smoothest and lightest tubed tire in the entire P ZERO Race range, designed to meet the demands of Pirelli-supported World Tour teams, combined with Pirelli SmarTUBE ultralight inner tubes. Indeed, teams like Trek-Segafredo and AG2R Citroën have already chosen to mount the P ZERO Race TT during certain stages of the Vuelta or the Tour de France in 2022.

The tread of the new P ZERO Race TT is made with the SmartEvo compound, a characteristic unique to the P ZERO family, developed to offer very low rolling resistance, significant control at high speeds, and excellent grip. Unlike its predecessor, the P ZERO Race TT is not a slick tire, but its tread pattern is that of the P ZERO Race, which improves handling and control in corners. In addition, compared to the latter, the new tire is 5% lighter and has 15% lower rolling resistance*. Featuring a 120 TPI nylon LITE casing, without added reinforcements, Pirelli’s R&D department has further optimized this tire, always with the goal of offering the least possible rolling resistance.
