The number of thefts is skyrocketing
Bike theft is nothing new, but it appears to have accelerated with the growing popularity of e-bikes in French cities. In the first 8 months of 2022, the Paris Prefecture recorded 4,216 electric bike thefts—an 81% increase compared to 2021*.
Gaya has the solution to this problem
With its dedicated mobile app, you can locate and remotely lock your bike. If your bike moves suspiciously, you’ll receive a notification on your smartphone and an audible alarm will sound (+100 dB). That’s enough to seriously deter thieves. And if, despite everything, your bike were to go missing, Gaya promises to replace it through its anti-theft insurance. This is a key feature for city dwellers, given that theft is the number one barrier to buying an electric bike.
