Damien Cattin-Vidal, former French No. 1 in the 10km and then coach of the French Open Water Swimming Team, now offers to support all those who wish to improve their swimming: “Open water swimming has taken off in recent years, and it’s a pleasure to witness it. But we realize that it’s still a discipline that is too little mastered. It worries or poses problems for many, especially triathletes for whom the swimming part is often the most complicated. The goal of L’aventure Eau libre is to support these amateur athletes and help them gain confidence and, above all, enjoyment in the sea, so that they can fully enjoy their practice.”
Each camp is entirely organized by L’Aventure Eau libre with all-inclusive packages to facilitate the stay of future Adventurers and allow them to make the most of it. From condensed weekend camps to the unique experience of a group swimming road trip.
On the sporting side, the camps revolve around sea sessions, accompanied and secured by two supervisors, and a technical pool session, as well as time for discussion with the staff. Because this is where the particularity of L’Aventure Eau libre lies: to allow everyone to soak up the atmosphere of the highest global level through its supervision.

Each camp has a dedicated theme with the presence of an expert: sports nutrition, physical preparation specific to swimming and triathlon, sharing high-level experience.
Professional athletes have answered the call and will accompany several camps. This is the case for the 2023 season with Yvan Jarrige – a professional triathlete, multiple Ironman winner and French record holder over 70.3 – and Logan Fontaine – 2019 5km World Vice-Champion and recent Bronze medalist in the 1500m at the 25m World Championships.
“I had the chance to meet many pro athletes and just as many sports experts during my high-level career. Being well supported is essential for achieving a sporting goal, whatever the level. When I contacted Yvan or Logan, they immediately got on board with the project. We are all eager to share our experience with future Adventurers,” explains Damien Cattin-Vidal.
