Ranked #1 by Virginia Tech, the Aries is the lightest, most ventilated, and most compact helmet ever designed by Giro with Spherical Technology.

Giro Sport Design, a leading brand in the cycling world, announces the launch of the Aries™ Spherical helmet. Even lighter and more ventilated than the Giro Aether Spherical, the previous benchmark in road helmets, the Aries™ offers riders increased protection thanks to Spherical Technology, developed with Mips®. The independent organization Virginia Tech ranks it #1 among all helmets tested by the University.
The Aries also features Giro’s new DryCore™ sweat management system, which uses a silicone bead, integrated into the brow pad, to redirect sweat away from the rider’s forehead. This prevents eye irritation from sweat. The Giro Aries™ Spherical helmet is available now at authorized Giro retailers for €319.95.

“The announcement of a new high-end road helmet from Giro is always highly anticipated, but the Aries™ Spherical is unlike anything else,” says Peter Nicholson, Brand Manager at Giro. “Giro engineers truly make a difference with all the resources at their disposal here in Scotts Valley at our Research & Development center, called the DOME. The DOME is unparalleled: whether it’s thanks to our internal ‘Wind Tunnel’ or our ‘Therminator’: our unique thermosensitive head-shaped machine, more than 50 testing machines are accessible daily by our engineers. We have been at the forefront of helmet technology for almost 40 years, and all of this has resulted in a helmet that you seem to forget about from the first kilometers, while still achieving the best score ever awarded by Virginia Tech in its ranking of helmets that best reduce the risk of injury.”
The more compact shape and lighter weight of the Aries (only 265 grams in size M, CE certified) offer unparalleled comfort and optimal ventilation capacity. Spherical Technology™: Giro’s ball-and-socket design, coupled with Mips® technology, adds an extra layer of protection, which helps redirect energies and forces that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain during certain impacts. The “Progressive Layering” with dual-density Nanobead EPS foam completes this array of increased protection. The 24 Wind Tunnel vents are maximized by the AURA II reinforcing arch and combined with a network of deep internal channels, which improve airflow. The DryCore™ brow pad manages sweat. The reliability and precise fit offered by the Roc Loc® 5+ Air adjustment system are well-established. Furthermore, the full lower shell coverage improves its durability. Its meticulous production quality makes the Aries the epitome of performance and style.
