Scott is voluntarily recalling approximately 2,000 Speedster road and gravel bikes from the 2022 collection. The brand is issuing this recall due to an internal discovery that the fork steerer tube can break, creating a potential fall hazard. To date, no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of a potential breakage, nor have any failures been reported in the Speedster bike markets.
The recall concerns Scott Speedster 40, Speedster 50, Speedster Gravel 40 EQ, Speedster Gravel 50, and Contessa Speedster Gravel 35 EQ bikes from the 2022 collection. These bikes were sold in stores and online in 2022 in Europe, Asia, and South America. The recall does not affect bikes sold in the American and Australian markets.
Consumers in possession of a recalled Scott Speedster bike are asked to immediately stop using the bike and return it to an authorized dealer where a new fork will be installed free of charge.
If your fork has a green dot under the fork leg, your bike is not affected.

If you have any further questions regarding this recall, you can contact Scott directly.
