His story with La Française des Jeux (FDJ) is a formidable example of a partnership founded on loyalty and longevity. On this occasion, FDJ wishes to salute the great champion, his style, his way of racing, and his vision of cycling. Thibaut Pinot holds and will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of the French people for a long time to come, to whom he has brought exceptional emotions, like his 2019 Tour de France and his triumph at the summit of the Tourmalet.
We will remember not only his thunderous debut on the Tour de France in 2012, his podium finish and his white jersey as best young rider on the 2014 Tour, his victory at the summit of Alpe d’Huez in 2015, but also his feat on the monument Il Lombardia in 2018, his many raised arms on Grand Tours, and especially his ease in mountain events.
Stéphane Pallez, Chairwoman and CEO of the FDJ group, joins all the Group’s employees in thanking Thibaut Pinot for his immense career and in calling on the general public, amateurs, and enthusiasts to celebrate and encourage this magnificent rider for his last season.
