Zwift: the winter season calendar

January, the first month of 2023, the month of good resolutions. As cyclists and triathletes in the northern hemisphere continue their season on indoor trainers, Zwift takes stock of its program for the first quarter of 2023. A new map, the return of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, competitions to do or follow, as well as new formats… There are many reasons to meet in the virtual worlds of Zwift, and they will allow everyone to approach the summer season in their best shape, whatever their goals.

JANUARY

• Scotland, a new map designed to allow cyclists competing in the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships to race on the roads of Glasgow and, more broadly, Scotland, host country of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.
• The Tour de Zwift, Zwift’s biggest cycling event, will once again give all riders the opportunity to explore Zwift’s 8 virtual worlds over 8 stages.
• Custom Leaderboards : a Zwift Companion app update will allow Zwifters to view and analyze their times on Zwift segments. 
• HoloReplay : in response to the success of this feature, Zwift has decided to add additional options, allowing Zwifters to now ride against their Replays on entire routes in addition to segments.
• Zwift ‘For You’: this new carousel has been gradually rolled out since December. It will allow Zwift to recommend content based on recent rides, events the user has signed up for, and Pacer rides they have participated in.
• The Zwift Racing League is the most entertaining race on Zwift. It will be held again in January. To participate, you need to form a team, then participate in 6 races – 4 points races and 2 TTT (time trials).

FEBRUARY

• The 3rd edition of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will take place on Zwift on February 18. It will be held on a new map, Scotland, and aims to be even more attractive with a new 3-stage format.
• The Scotland map will be open to Zwifters before the start of the championship races, and will host ZRacing events and route reconnaissance rides joined by pros (date TBC).
• Zwift loves the format of the Super League Triathlon Arena Games. Returning for its 4th season, this year’s extended series will continue to have the world’s best professional triathletes swim in a pool, then ride and run on Zwift. An exciting and breathtaking triathlon spectacle for spectators.
• For 2023, the Zwift Academy Run will include 7 structured training sessions. To complete them, Zwift will provide training advice as you go, and Zwifters will be able to connect with a community of runners united in the same goal: to get fitter and gain speed.
  All those who graduate from the program have a chance to win the Grand Prize, which includes equipment from major running brands and entry to the 2023 Berlin Marathon.

MARCH

The Tour de Watopia is the event that allows for the fastest progress, whether in terms of in-game level or physical fitness. With double XP on all Tour stages, unlocking new equipment for your avatar while improving your level has never been so fun. Zwifters who complete all 5 stages will unlock the 2023 Tour de Watopia kit in the game.
