Thanks to Future Shock technology at the front and rear, the new Specialized Diverge STR Gravel bike offers all the necessary comfort, without compromise. By suspending the rider, instead of the bike, Future Shock technology increases control and efficiency while reducing fatigue. This allows you to ride further and faster, no matter how difficult the terrain. The Diverge STR does this without the added weight, acceleration lag, and loss of efficiency that other suspension systems can introduce.

Future Shock suspension at the front and rear
By suspending the rider with an adjustable damping system (20 mm at the front / 30 mm at the rear), Future Shock technology absorbs terrain stresses to improve your control and capabilities, while maintaining the efficiency and responsiveness of a rigid frame. Because, when it comes to power transfer, the brand assures that the feel of a rigid, unsuspended frame is preserved.

Rear Future Shock
The new Diverge STR features Future Shock Rear technology, offering 30 mm of rear travel to smooth out bumpy roads. Its hydraulic damping controls the stroke to eliminate “bouncing” during pedaling and ensure that large impacts don’t eject you from the saddle, all without compromising your position or pedaling efficiency.

• Fully adjustable for rider weight, height, and riding style.
• On-the-fly adjustment.
• Rear triangle remains rigid for optimal power transfer.
• Compatible with a dropper seatpost.
Future Shock 2.0
Born from decades of innovation and Specialized’s “Comfort = Performance” philosophy, Future Shock was initially created to develop bikes that win on cobblestones. It then found its purest expression in Gravel riding. It’s a 20 mm travel, adjustable front shock absorber that allows you to maintain control and trajectory while isolating your hands, arms, and shoulders from terrain irregularities.
• Hydraulic damping to quickly and efficiently devour rough terrain without “bouncing”.
• On-the-fly adjustment.
• Rigid fork to maintain precise and agile steering.
A fast bike on all terrains
The S-Works Diverge STR Fact 11r carbon frame is more comfortable than any road handlebar-equipped bike ever made by Specialized, but only adds 100 g compared to the S-Works Diverge frame. Climbing an endless ascent, starting a race, or loaded with luggage for a limitless road trip, the Diverge STR does it all faster and easier without any excess weight.

Maximum versatility
More capability means more confidence, more confidence means more aggressive rides, more aggression means more fun, and it all starts with the ground contact patch. Nothing offers more versatility than good tire clearance, and on this point the brand has been generous: 47 mm on a 700c wheel and 2.1” on 650B. The Diverge STR is the most versatile Gravel bike ever made by Specialized. The internal SWAT™ compartment carries everything you need where you need it. This lightens your pockets. The geometry is progressive and amplifies the confidence that Future Shock technology offers you.
