Il Lombardia, the fifth Monument of the season, is one of the most prestigious races on the calendar. The event will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, over a distance of 252 km, between Bergamo and Como, with a slightly revised course that this time should favor puncheurs more than climber-puncheurs.
In 2021, Tadej Pogacar won in a strong display. This year, he is once again among the main favorites, alongside Enric Mas, Julian Alaphilippe, and Alejandro Valverde, for whom this will be his last professional race.
