On a course significantly less steep than the other late-season Italian semi-classics and classics, the Tour du Piémont will take place this Thursday, October 6, 2022, and is more suited to finishers and sprinters still motivated at this point in the year. In 2021, British rider Matthew Walls (Bora Hansgrohe), a track specialist, won ahead of Giacomo Nizzolo. This year, Mark Cavendish’s performance will be closely watched, as this will certainly be his last race in the Quick Step – Alpha Vinyl jersey.
