Review: Thuasne Power Up Versatile Sports Bra

The Power Up sports bra is a modular bra that provides superior or extreme support depending on the position of the straps, making the product suitable for a wide range of sports such as cycling, fitness or running, as we found out after a test spread over several weeks. Athletes will love it!

Thuasne offers a complete range of sports bras and sports bras, which are adapted to different body types and impact levels. They are grouped into three support categories: normal, superior and extreme. The Power Up is designed for moderate or intense impact sports. The adjustable straps adapt to different body types and the desired level of support. An airy fabric allows for good perspiration wicking.

A little over a year ago, I tested another product from Thuasne, the Eaz’ip Evolution bra, which left me a little wanting for various reasons. I was first disappointed by the nude color, and by the functionality of the zip. So when I opened the box and got my hands on this pretty black Power Up bra with a nice airy tulle effect, I didn’t hide my joy.

I was surprised by the extremely thin and light material, compared to the Eaz’ip Evolution which was more massive. I found the Power Up very easy to put on with wide straps that adjust in seconds. A seamless elastic band under the bust and a small discreet logo under the left breast give this pretty bra a beautiful look that can be perfectly worn without anything during fitness classes, something I often do with it, I admit, whereas it would not have occurred to me with the previous model.

Lightness does not detract from support, quite the opposite. The breast is pleasantly molded and held inside without being crushed, as can be the case with competing models. The chest retains its shape. Bravo for the aesthetics, I love it.

I have been using it for several weeks in all my sports disciplines, from dance to cycling, indoors and outdoors. It washes very well in the machine and dries very quickly. Suffice it to say that I never take it off! And it returns the favor.

This model ticks all the boxes for me in terms of technical, physiological and aesthetic aspects. It’s a 100% winner. In terms of price, we are looking at a model at €50, but its versatility and resistance make it a model that can last a long time in my opinion. In short, to try it is to adopt it, and I will have a hard time finding a replacement for it.
