New Roval Rapide CL II wheels for tubeless and tubed tires

Roval is launching a more affordable version of its Rapide wheels today, with the CL II, for tubeless or tubed tires, still featuring a 51 mm rim depth at the front and 60 mm at the rear.

Like the Rapide CLX II, the new Rapide CL II are synonymous with speed and efficiency. Using exactly the same rims as the Rapide CLX II, the Rapide CL II were designed to provide handling and stability, while benefiting from Tubeless technology.

High-profile front wheels are affected by crosswinds. This negatively impacts handling, inevitably causing a loss of speed for the cyclist. By using the first modeling algorithm designed around cyclists’ actual reaction times during gusts and validating this data through road tests, Roval has developed a front rim that reduces drag and increases stability by 25% in sudden wind gusts compared to its previous 50 mm rims.
