POC and Team AMANI are proud to announce the release of a limited-edition collection of helmets and eyewear. Designed in collaboration with Team AMANI riders, this collection will help improve access to cycling and racing in East Africa and internationally.

The entire AMANI team and its partners are still struggling to accept the tragic loss of team captain Sule Kangangi, but they have decided to maintain the presentation, as the collection is a source of inspiration for those who wish to support the project. This presentation is also made with Sule in mind, who played an important role in its design and was enthusiastic about revealing it to the world.
Mikel Delagrange, head of Team AMANI, states: “Our AMANI team helmets and eyewear are truly unique; they represent much more than high-performance protective equipment. Along with the team, Sule played an essential role in the design of the products, conceived to give the team coherence while offering each cyclist a singular look and the possibility of displaying their national flag. We have been using them for racing for some time now and are very proud of what they represent. Now, it is also a connection with Sule that we want to share with everyone, as we know he would be delighted to see our team supported and our helmets and eyewear used by cyclists around the world.”
POC CEO, Jonas Sjögren, adds: “We are particularly proud to support Team AMANI. This team represents a spirit and approach to cycling that we should all adopt. Not all kilometers are equal, but opportunities must be, and we all have a role to play in ensuring greater equality of opportunity. Recent tragic events have hit us hard; it is very difficult for everyone involved. But Sule would tell us that our work to remove barriers, support the team, and popularize the project has only just begun, and that we must persevere. That is what we will do.”
Team AMANI Collection
This collection of helmets and eyewear was designed with Team AMANI riders and has already been used in several events this season, including the Migration Gravel Race. The helmets are available in a variety of colors and will come with stickers of the flags of Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda, countries of the AMANI team members.
During development, POC and Team AMANI considered a unique team color, but quickly realized that a single color would not convey the uniqueness, character, and passion of the cyclists and the team. For this reason, the decision was ultimately made to let the cyclists choose their favorite shade, which can then be further customized with their national flag. The team logos and orange color unite the Team AMANI helmets, but each helmet is designed to express the individual perspective of each cyclist.
This was a team decision that also inspired the choice of colors and designs for the Aspire Clarity eyewear, as each cyclist selected their own shades and what works best for them. The result is a collection created in collaboration with the cyclists, which possesses a coherence and diversity that perfectly summarizes Team AMANI.
This collection brings together Ventral Air helmets and Aspire eyewear. It is available exclusively online at POCsports.com since September 15. All profits from this limited edition will be donated to support the AMANI project and team, to support East African cyclists and offer them opportunities to race and show the world their talent at a high level.
