Trek’s Commuter Pro RT and Commuter Comp R lights use the same daytime running light technology found on other Trek lights, including the Ion and Flare, but with the Commuter Kindbeam, a directed beam that illuminates the path without blinding oncoming cyclists. In addition to Kindbeam, a series of cutting-edge features make the Commuter a range of lights worthy of the Trek brand.

Commuter Pro RT
The Commuter Pro RT is Trek’s newest and best front light. It features Commuter Kindbeam to better illuminate the path ahead while avoiding blinding oncoming cyclists, and the Daytime Running Light mode provides better visibility during the day. It has a 1,000-lumen high beam, ideal for mountain bikers, and a reverse charging function with a USB-C port that allows cyclists to charge their phone or bike computer while riding. The Commuter Pro RT also features wireless technology for pairing with a Flare RT taillight (allowing cyclists to control both lights from a single button) and a dual charge gauge to know the charge level of both the front light and the paired taillight.

Commuter Comp R
For a more affordable option equipped with the same new technology, Trek has also launched the Commuter Comp R, making this technology accessible to more cyclists. The
Commuter Comp R features Kindbeam technology with a flashing daytime running light mode and high and low beam modes to illuminate the path after dark. The Commuter Comp R features the adjustable Quick Connect+ mount for easy installation, and it recharges using the included micro-USB cable. It is available individually as well as with the Flare R City for a pair of lights that allow you to see and be seen on your daily commutes and city rides.

The all-new light range is available now through Trek’s global network of dealers.
