A rich program for all practices

There are the great classics, those events that over the years have become Roc d’Azur must-dos:

  • the Roc Trophy (one event per day for five days) starting on Wednesday,
  • the Roc Marathon,
  • the Roc Ruelles de Fréjus,
  • the Alltricks.com Rando Roc Noire,
  • the Rando Roc Déguisée,
  • the Ekoï Rando Roc Odyssey,
  • the Kid Roc for the youngest,
  • the Roc Tandems,
  • and of course the Sunday Roc d’Azur with some of the world’s best at the start.

Then there’s the Canyon Gravel Roc, the Tri Roc, and all the races for Electric Assist Bikes like the Shimano Rando Roc Électrique Noire, which have been added to the program in recent years to respond to the evolution of practices.

The 2022 edition marks an additional step in the Roc d’Azur’s desire to offer an even richer experience with two major new features: three mountain bike rides in the Massif de l’Estérel and three trail events.

Heading to the Massif de l’Estérel

On Friday, October 7, on the starting line drawn in the Cap Estérel village of Saint-Raphaël, in Agay, some will undoubtedly feel like they are setting out to conquer new territories. For the first time, the Roc d’Azur is offering three rides on the heights of Saint-Raphaël, in the heart of the Massif de l’Estérel, with its ocher rocks and magnificent panoramas of the Mediterranean. The Rando Roc Estérel, the Rando Roc électrique Estérel, and the Canyon Rando Roc Gravel Estérel are thus integrated into the program of this 2022 edition.

The Roc d’Azur confirms its desire to offer everyone the best possible experience. Participants in the three Massif de l’Estérel rides, traced on technically accessible courses, will have the possibility, depending on their fitness or weather conditions, to choose the distance of their ride during the event. On the Rando Roc Estérel and the Rando Roc électrique Estérel, they will be able to complete their challenge after 22 km or 29 km or even extend it up to 45 km. On the Canyon Rando Roc Gravel Estérel, the two proposed courses will be 47 km and 67 km.

Welcome to trail runners

Mountain bikers and trail runners share many common values. The arrival of trail running at the Roc d’Azur resonates as an obvious choice. For this major new feature in 2022, races of 16 km (positive elevation: 515 m), 32 km (960 m D+) and 44 km (1,500 m D+), all starting from Roquebrune-sur-Argens, will take trail runners towards the Rocher de Roquebrune perched overlooking the Argens plain. The promise for everyone to experience magical moments.
