Specialized prepared a special paint scheme for Remco Evenepoel’s bike to celebrate his overall victory at the Vuelta, which the Belgian rider was able to use during the final stage in Madrid. The color and decoration echo the red of the leader’s jersey. The frame was prepared at the end of the week by a painter in Italy and shipped to Spain the evening before the finish.

At just 22 years old, Belgian Remco Evenepoel has a resume that any seasoned pro would envy. He won Liège-Bastogne-Liège in the spring, his second Clásica San Sebastián in August, and is now the winner of his very first Grand Tour with La Vuelta a España.

Remco conquered the red jersey after the sixth stage and did not falter, becoming the first Belgian rider to win a Grand Tour in 44 years. His victory is also a victory for his Quick Step – Alpha Vinyl team. Each of Evenepoel’s victories has been marked by an offensive style, outclassing the competition with audacious solo attacks and breathtaking time trials: where man and machine become one. A blend of human potential and technological innovation.
