Since 2017, BikingMan has brought together adventurers from all over the world on exceptional courses, remarkable for their beauty, character, and verticality. After 26 races organized in the heart of challenging territories (South America, Middle East, Asia), France has become the main stage, hosting 5 stages of the BikingMan Origine championship: Corsica, the Southern region with its mythical peaks (Ventoux, Bonette), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and its stratovolcanoes, the Pyrenees and the formidable Basque ascents, and finally the Vercors Regional Natural Park. Two international stages in Portugal and Brazil complete this series of extreme races.

The ultimate cycling adventure

BikingMan Origine has been covered by several media outlets such as L’Équipe TV channel, France Télévisions, Stade 2, France 24, and Euronews. The competition will soon be in the spotlight with an 80-minute documentary to be broadcast this fall on L’Équipe.fr. This documentary, directed by journalist Cédric Ferreira, will highlight some profiles of everyday heroes and heroines who take on the BikingMan Origine challenge. The public will discover the hidden roads that France, Portugal, and Brazil abound in for cycling in general, through the exploits of these modern-day explorers.

The 555 format: the ultracycling UFO

The Vercors and the town of Villard-de-Lans successfully hosted the first edition of the 555, the new BikingMan event format launched in 2022, which combines a route mixing secondary roads and mountain trails.

500 kilometers to cover in less than 55 hours on a gravel bike – this is the challenge that ultradistance cycling aficionados will also be able to discover, with no less than 3 events planned in this format for the 2023 season.
