Source: Press Release
Reserved for initiates just a few years ago, cycling holidays are attracting more and more tourists, in search of more authentic, more environmentally friendly destinations and experiences, closer to nature and local populations. The health crisis has accentuated this enthusiasm and led to an explosion in cycling activity throughout the territory, allowing France to claim the title of the world’s leading cycling tourism destination, ahead of Germany.
Convinced of the role of cycling tourism in the development of the national tourism economy, the itinerary committees of the Vélodyssée, the Scandibérique, the Vélomaritime, and the Flow Vélo, partners of France Vélo Tourisme, are committed to a collective approach aimed at structuring and building a differentiated and complementary national cycling offer. This press kit aims to present it and proposes to discover the 1001 facets of France by bike through 4 emblematic national and European itineraries.
