A pioneer in bicycle maintenance, Vélogik has been advocating for alternative and committed mobility for over 13 years. The women and men who make up the company are passionate and eager to share what makes them tick: cycling.
Vélogik has therefore chosen to get involved as close to the field as possible and become the main partner of an ambitious women’s cycling team: Corbas Lyon Métropole. Launched for the 2023 season, it will compete in Nationale 2. The team will participate in the Coupe de France and will be offered a full race calendar. The month of July is dedicated to recruiting the athletes and the staff who will support them.
It aims for rapid growth and plans to join Nationale 1 as early as 2024 and why not the professional level eventually, with the Women’s Tour de France in its sights.
Maintenance and presence of technicians at competitions
Vélogik wishes to invest in the dynamic development of women’s cycling, ensuring that athletes from all backgrounds are welcomed.
“Since the creation of Vélogik, we have been committed to inclusion and are actively working to increase the proportion of women in our professions, which are still too often male-dominated. We share strong values with Corbas Lyon Métropole and its leaders and wish to take part in the success of this promising team. Our technical know-how and operational excellence will be assets for reaching high-level cycling,” explains Franck Brédy, president of Vélogik.
Specifically, Vélogik will ensure the maintenance of the Corbas Lyon Métropole team’s bikes at races. The company’s mechanics will travel to each competition to support the riders and ensure the proper functioning and safety of their bikes.
“Helping women perform at the highest level and enjoy their cycling practice is in our DNA. That’s why we’ve had a women’s section for several years, and we’re happy to be able to accelerate the movement with an elite women’s team. Women’s cycling is booming and we are proud to contribute to its development, with the help of a trusted partner like Vélogik,” adds Raphaël Taieb, director of the Corbas Lyon Métropole club.

About Corbas Lyon Métropole
Corbas Lyon Métropole is one of the top 20 amateur cycling clubs in France. The association brings together nearly 200 members of all ages and levels. The club is very involved in high-level performance, but also in its social and local impact. Thus, the club runs a cycling school and trains young cyclists from the age of 7. The club organizes a bike loan system for disadvantaged people who cannot afford one. Para-cycling is also at the heart of the club’s project, which notably supports its licensee Alexandre Lloveras (Paralympic gold medalist in Tokyo) in his preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games.
