83rd International Cycling Tourism Week, the biggest cycling gathering of the year to discover!

The Semaine fédérale internationale de cyclotourisme (International Cycle Tourism Week) has, every year since 1927, brought together nearly 13,000 cycling enthusiasts, French and foreign, to discover the charms and secrets of a region in a festive atmosphere. A true place for exchange and culture for devotees of the “petite reine” (bicycle), it is the ideal event to meet them and discover the very essence of bicycle tourism. This year, Loudéac in Côtes-d’Armor is hosting the event from July 31 to August 7, so: head for Brittany!

CYCLING FOR EVERYONE!

Every day, original itineraries – road, mountain bike, Gravel – with varied distances and difficulties are offered so that everyone can participate regardless of their level. Tourist rides, supervised by volunteers, will also be organized. Numerous stops punctuate these circuits, allowing participants to observe points of interest, visit them, photograph them, or simply share their impressions with other participants. Among the new features for 2022, Gravel enthusiasts will benefit from a unique and sporty program for three days! And mountain bikers are not left out, as a Verte Tout-Terrain (the Federation’s MTB label) is organized within this Semaine fédérale with beautiful routes bordering the foothills of the Monts d’Arrée.

INCREDIBLE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION

No less than 1,500 volunteers are committed to this event and are on deck. In addition to the cycling circuits, they are actively preparing many other activities: cultural and tourist visits, hiking, supervision of the youngest participants… A large federal village with many exhibitors of local products and cycling equipment is accessible to all participants. Everything is organized by volunteers, including the accommodation service with, for example, a giant campsite of more than 3,200 pitches and a catering service where more than 1,500 meals are served every day.

The Fédération française de cyclotourisme is the leading cycling tourism federation in France. Its objective is to develop bicycle tourism in France and the practice of cycling as a sport for all. It organizes 3,500 rides throughout France, attracting more than 2 million participants each year.
