Competition-inspired performance, ultimate longevity

Corsa N.EXT is the new addition to the Corsa family, and Vittoria’s tire of choice in the Competition category. It completes Vittoria’s high-end offering by bridging the gap between Pro Competition and Advance Training tires.

Vittoria engineers focused on the needs of passionate cyclists who rack up the kilometers on their long and demanding weekly rides. These cyclists are competitive, always chasing better performance and a more perfect riding experience. They train hard, whether for a Granfondo or other amateur races, and they expect their bike components, especially their tires, to live up to their own effort. They want speed, of course (who doesn’t?), but without compromising tire longevity and puncture resistance.

Therefore, Vittoria engineers combined their knowledge of race performance with their expertise in building a durable tire. Using a unique blend of silica and graphene, the nylon casing gives this tire better efficiency, better grip, and a longer lifespan.

Rubber Compound

Reflecting Vittoria’s product development strategy, the new Corsa N.EXT uses unique rubber compound technology. Thanks to proven applied research knowledge, this technology allows graphene to be combined with silica, a material that specifically improves the performance of road bike tires.

Combined with graphene, silica boosts tire performance by invariably offering higher mileage and grip for an improved riding experience. Lab tests show that this new combination offers the following performance gains compared to a standard compound:

Strength and longevity are essential for a tire whose purpose is to constantly push the limits. The Corsa N.EXT is the first tire in the Corsa range made with high-quality nylon fabric.

To increase puncture protection, the central section of the casing features 3 layers of nylon as well as an additional anti-puncture protective belt. Tire strength is further increased at the bead thanks to a nylon tab that surrounds the bead and offers additional protection. The high-tech bead has been designed to facilitate the mounting and inflation of both tubeless and tubed tires.

The Corsa N.EXT is the first tire in the Corsa range made with high-quality nylon fabric. The Corsa Speed and Corsa Control tires from the Pro Competition line – used by many teams on the WorldTour – are made with cotton fabric.

Tread

The Corsa N.EXT uses the same proven tread pattern as the famous Corsa, a pattern that many teams in the World Tour peloton are accustomed to. The central part of the tread features spaced directional grooves for a wider contact surface.

This improves the efficiency and speed of the tire during fast rides. The outer edges of the tread feature closely spaced directional grooves to improve grip and maneuverability in corners. The Corsa N.EXT tread also has a Tread-Wear Indicator (TWI) in the form of a small circular incision indicating if the tire is worn and needs to be replaced.

QR Code

The Corsa N.EXT is the first road competition tire to have a QR code, printed on the tire’s hotpatch. This code provides access to useful information about the tire, such as tutorials on how to mount it correctly; recommended pressures; recommended inner tubes and other accessories; as well as the location of the nearest Vittoria dealer. This innovation is part of the brand’s commitment to being as close as possible to cyclists on every ride.
