The Scott Foil RC has been at the top of the brand’s road segment for many years and has won almost everything there is to win. With the all-new Foil RC, Scott has developed a bike that is even better and built specifically to meet the demands of today’s riders.

Following an update to the UCI regulations on bike design in 2021, Scott engineers and designers have strived to redefine what an aerodynamic bike can be. By focusing on the bike, components, and rider as a system, and collaborating with renowned aerodynamics specialists Drag2Zero, Scott has adopted an innovative and modern approach to aerodynamic design. The result is a bike that is not only the fastest Scott has ever produced – with a gain of 1’18” over 40 km compared to the previous Foil – but also the lightest and most comfortable aerodynamic bike.

Scott’s patented offset steering allows for fully integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting. With modified tube shapes and dimensions, the bike incorporates meticulous aerodynamic designs that work consistently and as a complete system for significant gains while riding. Through intensive testing, even the smallest details have been considered, including hidden disc brake calipers to reduce drag and add to the bike’s overall aesthetic.

With over 300 designs tested, Scott engineers were able to provide a better carbon lay-up, with a 30% reduction in the number of carbon parts and joints used compared to the previous Foil RC. With incredible attention to the smallest details such as the seatstays and seat clamp, the team reduced weight without sacrificing stiffness. The result is a frame weighing 915 g (Foil RC Ultimate) and 7.22 kg for the complete bike – forming an unmatched combination of lightness, comfort, and aerodynamics that sets a new standard in lightweight aero bikes.

The all-new Foil RC is equipped with innovative new Syncros components that are essential for achieving aerodynamic gains, weight reduction, and a new emphasis on the comfort factor that contribute to the bike’s excellent performance. The new patented Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost consists of two parts, with a carbon fiber front piece that flexes when the road gets bumpy, reducing vibrations felt through the saddle. The new Syncros Creston IC SL Aero handlebar has been refined in the wind tunnel to create a thinner combo that cuts through the wind, with improved comfort and stiffness thanks to adaptive compliance: it offers more flexibility under light load when riding on rough roads, but stiffens on descents to maximize every watt. To improve comfort, the Foil RC is equipped with 25 mm tires at the front and 28 mm at the rear, with the frame accommodating 30 mm tires.

The new Foil RC is available in 5 different versions: Foil RC Ultimate, Foil RC Pro, Foil RC 10, Foil RC 20, and Foil RC 30. The Foil RC is being used by Team DSM in the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes, since July 1, 2022.
