Depending on the stage profile and weather conditions, riders have very specific expectations regarding helmets and the advantages they provide. Specialized has thus developed three new helmets for three different needs.

S-WORKS EVADE 3 – Fast but cool
The most aerodynamic road helmet in the range breathes even better. The S-Works Evade 3 has been completely reinvented to improve its cooling capabilities and make it the smart choice for a maximum number of stages.
A rear “diffuser” is present to minimize drag, and larger vents increase ventilation. The adjustable Tri-Fix strap dividers offer increased comfort to the cyclist through a personalized fit. Its latest evolution is reduced by 10 mm to limit strap noise. MIPS Node Air technology is integrated directly into the helmet’s padding.
Retail price: €330.

S-WORKS PREVAIL 3 – The most ventilated helmet
The S-Works Prevail 3 is the perfect helmet for cyclists who prioritize comfort and the benefits of increased thermal regulation through wider vents. It is the ultimate versatile helmet that excels in hot conditions, climbs, and mountain days.
The foam junctions that blocked air in the central part have been removed. This creates ventilation channels that increase the ventilation surface by 24.5%, compared to the S-Works Prevail II Vent helmet. The new S-Works 3 is the helmet with the most ventilation zones created by the brand. Upon impact, AirCage technology works like a suspension bridge and is designed to diffuse localized forces throughout the rest of the helmet. MIPS Node Air technology is integrated directly into the helmet’s padding.
Only the Black, White, and Vivid Red colors will be officially launched on June 30. Other colors, including TEAM versions, will follow on July 6.
Retail price: €330.

S-WORKS TT 5 – High-speed Time Trial
The fastest aero helmet possible. For cleaner internal airflow, the helmet is built around a skull shell that compresses the rider’s ears and hair for optimized aerodynamics.
The result is 26 seconds gained on Remco Evenepoel’s Time Trial in a race where victory is decided by 10 seconds. The S-Works TT5 helmet is equipped with an optical class 1 visor offering no distortion when looking at the road, unlike traditional visors which are mostly hot-bent plastic.
Note that this helmet is officially launched so that Specialized athletes will be able to use it in the coming months, but it will not be available for sale until spring 2023.
The price of the S-Works TT5 helmet has not yet been set and will be communicated later.
