After Laissac (12), Viré (71) and La Canourgue (48), our participants met this Saturday in Lons-le-Saunier (39) for the gravel event of the Cyclosportive de la Vache qui Rit. In total, more than 130 enthusiasts started the specially designed course under the Jura sun.

A CHANGE OF SCENERY GUARANTEED

For its second edition, this gravel event offered a course using the old PLM railway line – now converted into a greenway – and its tunnel galleries. Participants also crossed the Bois de Rosnay, along forest paths, in the heart of the Vallière Valley, before arriving at the heights of the limestone reculées of Baumes-les-Messieurs. Plenty to feast your eyes on this 61 km course with 815 m of elevation gain.

A CLOSE PODIUM

After 2h05m14s of effort, Paul Billet won this stage, just a few seconds ahead of his competitor Kevin Boscardin. On the women’s side, Ségolène Leberon won in 2h21m46s, more than 10 minutes ahead of her opponents. Laurent Jalabert, the event’s patron, tried his hand at gravel cycling this Saturday and finished with a very respectable 7th place. Congratulations to all participants!
