The winner of the 25th edition of the Road Bike of the Year, by Le Cycle, is none other than Lapierre’s Xelius SL 8.0! After two days of testing, the panel of jurors, made up of 10 journalist testers and randomly selected readers, praised the dynamic qualities, lightness, design, comfort, component quality, Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed groupset, and value for money of the new Xelius SL 8.0.

Ranked first with over 1700 points, the Lapierre bike surpasses the Specialized Tarmac SL 7 Expert and the Look 785 Huez Disc. The Wilier Triestina Zero SL and the Scott Addict RC 10 finished 4th and 5th respectively. This is the second Road Bike of the Year title won by Lapierre. The first was awarded in 2007 by the same magazine for the X-Lite Webseries bike.
The Xelius SL 8.0 completes an excellent start to the season for the Lapierre brand, which also received the 2022 Road Bike of the Year award last February from the Belgian magazine Grinta! for the Aircode DRS 6.0.

The Xelius SL frame has been redesigned with tauter lines and full integration of cables and housing into the frame. This new version is also more aerodynamic than the previous one. These changes mark the bike’s character and accentuate its racing look.
