A quick look back: in July 2021, Norwegian triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt achieved the biggest victory of his career: the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo on his Propel Advanced SL Disc. He went on to win the Triathlon World Championship title in Canada and several other high-level races, including his first Full Ironman in Mexico. Giant wanted to celebrate these historic victories with a limited edition available for purchase.

To honor this hard-fought victory and the athlete’s 2021 performances, Giant chose to produce a limited edition: the Propel Advanced SL Disc 1 LTD. The same frame Kristian Blummenfelt rode in Tokyo, with original graphics inspired by the shippo motif, a common design in Japanese art and fashion. The overlapping circles and shapes symbolize harmony and happiness, and the five colors combine to convey a sense of movement and speed in the pursuit of victory.

This very high-end frame was designed in Advanced SL composite and developed in a wind tunnel using Giant’s AeroSystem Shaping technology. This technology optimizes the frame’s aerodynamics by minimizing drag, regardless of the air flow’s angle of attack.

This limited edition is equipped with Giant SLR 1 carbon disc wheels with a 65 mm rear wheel and 42 mm front wheel for an ideal balance between aerodynamic efficiency and control, as well as CADEX Race 25 tubeless tires and a Giant Contact SLR Aero handlebar and Contact SL Aero stem that further improve its aerodynamic performance. It comes with a SRAM Force eTap AXS wireless electronic drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes.

Price: €8000
