Urban mobility is one of the most developing and eclectic components of cycling. It is a tool for getting around, exploring the surroundings, connecting with others, and for many, a true art of living. For more and more people, the bicycle is the best way for Urban Exploration (often called Urbex): the exploration of man-made structures, suburbs, abandoned buildings, or hidden structures. Through their approach, these modern cyclists redefine the concept of mobility right down to the urban structures themselves. Directly inspiring Met’s new urban helmet.
Discover the MET Urbex Mips® in this first video episode with Matéo Rawmance, a French DJ and former cyclist now living in Rome, in his quest for freedom of movement, where his bike is king.
NTA 8776 Certification
The NTA certification is the world’s first certification developed specifically for e-bike users. Being NTA certified, the MET Urbex Mips® is capable of dissipating significantly more energy upon impact compared to a standard helmet. An NTA EPS shell is tested on an additional 10% surface area around the two most sensitive parts of the brain (the back and temples). In short, the Urbex Mips® is one of the safest helmets on the market.

USB LED Light
The MET Magnetic USB LED light is attached to one of the rear parts of the helmet to ensure the highest level of visibility in all conditions. A magnetic system makes attachment to the shell simple and secure while making the light easily removable and rechargeable via a USB-C port. The 25 LED lights have four lighting modes: steady red, flashing red, red strobe LED, and an automatic night mode marked by a steady blue LED. The battery lasts up to 6 hours and a full charge takes one hour.

Comfort
The Urbex Mips is exceptionally comfortable and safe thanks to a refined internal shape and a new Met Safe-T Heta retention system that offers a complete and personalized fit. The straps are well-positioned and adjustable thanks to the strap dividers, developed to be reliable and easy to use.
Fidlock Magnetic Buckle
The Fidlock® magnetic buckle allows for easy helmet closure, while the strap padding ensures perfect comfort.

MIPS Protection System
Using the MIPS-C2® rotational impact management system, the Met Urbex Mips® is able to slide relative to the head in the event of an impact, redirecting harmful rotational forces. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to the classic helmet construction for certain types of impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached to the inside of the helmet, between the comfort pads and the EPS.
