Today, Cannondale redefines the limits of adventure with a completely refreshed Topstone Carbon. Featuring improved geometry and an upgraded, smoother Kingpin suspension, the Topstone Carbon has been redesigned from the ground up to go anywhere.
“We designed the Topstone Carbon as a do-it-all tool,” said Nina Baum, Cannondale Product Manager. “Whether it’s local singletrack, jumping into your first gravel race, or that overnight bike trip turned transcontinental tour, the Topstone begs its rider to take on new challenges.”
The new Topstone Carbon features Cannondale’s revolutionary Kingpin suspension, built to be 100 grams lighter, more durable, and more streamlined than before. Kingpin absorbs bumps and vibrations without the weight and complexity of shocks or springs by using a thru-axle pivot in the seat tube that allows the entire rear of the frame to flex. It’s real suspension where it counts.
In combination with Cannondale’s Proportional Response, which ensures that riders of all sizes get the best performance and comfort from their bike, Kingpin gives every rider better traction on rough terrain and allows them to corner with conviction. Additional geometry modifications, including a lower top tube height and bottom bracket height, add even more riding confidence.
The Topstone Carbon easily ventures off the beaten path with Cannondale’s award-winning Lefty Oliver fork, the world’s most responsive and precise gravel fork. But now, Lefty models come standard with 700c wheels, making the Topstone ready for travel. The bike can accommodate tires up to 45 mm, and even a large 27.5 x 2.1-inch tire to tackle all surfaces. To make things as easy as possible, the Topstone Carbon now comes with traditional rear wheel centering and a threaded BSA bottom bracket, making it easy to swap out for another pair of wheels or new cranks. The Topstone also has plenty of mounts and a Cannondale StrapRack to allow you to equip yourself with inner tubes and tools.
The Topstone Carbon is equipped with SmartSense, Cannondale’s intelligent light and radar system that actively communicates with the rider, bike, and surroundings, powered by a single battery. It was designed to improve awareness and visibility, so the rider can better see and be seen on the road. All Topstone Carbons are SmartSense-ready, and some models already come equipped with the system.
The all-new Topstone Carbon will be available in sizes XS to XL. The Topstone Carbon 1 Lefty and Topstone Carbon 2 Lefty models are equipped with the Lefty Oliver. SmartSense will be featured on the Carbon 1 RLE, 2 L, and 3 L models. Topstone Carbon retail prices range from €2,849 to €8,999.
