Focus on Sunselect Technology

Cyclists and outdoor athletes face an increased risk of damage from harmful UV rays due to ozone depletion and global warming. And, fabrics with integrated sun protection are set to become a true key element of summer collections. In this regard, EKOÏ is using, for the first time, Sunselect technology for certain pieces in the EKOÏ by Nathalie Simon collection.

The revolutionary Sunselect fabric has the unique ability to selectively block unwanted natural sunlight rays (UVB) while allowing the rays necessary for tanning (UVA) to pass through. By blocking UVB rays that produce heat and glare, Sunselect fabric creates a cool and comfortable shade for tanning.

Thanks to Sunselect’s patented technology, it is therefore possible to tan quickly and comfortably without the risk of sunburn! The filtering textile works like a tanning oil with a protection factor of approximately 8 to 10.

And, unlike traditional sunscreens, the fabric contains no harmful chemicals that could negatively impact the environment. Integrated into the fiber, UVB protection cannot be removed by washing and retains its effectiveness throughout the product’s lifespan. The fabric also offers performance qualities such as quick-drying, breathability, and odor control technology.
