Riding a BH Aerolight in the comfort of your living room is now possible. No more uncomfortable noises, no more complicated trainers and no need to use your usual bike.
The Exercycle is a Smart Bike born as if it had been designed by a cyclist. The brand has listened and worked on all the details that allow cyclists to see it as a familiar machine. The geometry of the BH Aerolight was taken as a starting point, so that the first pedal strokes with the Exercycle will lead you directly to the sensations felt on the asphalt.
Being able to customize the contact points with the bike is a key element of the sensations experienced cyclists look for when using this type of machine. Therefore, the Exercycle allows you to use your own saddle and pedals, in addition to all the position adjustment options you can imagine. Thanks to these features, the Exercycle covers bike sizes from S to XL. Its very low Q-factor (outside measurement between the two cranks) of only 152 mm is another strong point of the Exercycle, allowing it to offer the same pedaling feel as on your road bike.
But it’s not just the position that matters to find the same sensations on your indoor bike as on your usual rides. The way resistance is applied is essential to perceive a natural effort. This is why the EMS electromagnetic resistance system has been used, which reproduces the resistance of the asphalt on the tire’s tread. This system is used in other types of fitness machines, but is rarely found on a Smart Bike like the Exercycle. Resistance changes are integrated into the handlebars to make the sensations even more natural. Changing this resistance is as simple as using the shift levers on your classic bike. A totally intuitive gesture which, moreover, allows you to vary the resistance without moving your hands from the handlebars. Finally, where exercise bikes usually transmit unnatural rigidity, the brand has given the Exercycle’s structure a certain level of flex, in order to reinforce this feeling of riding a real bike.
The Exercycle comes with all the latest technology. It comes standard with an accurate power meter, an essential tool for evaluating your effort level in detail. Its LCD screen located in the center of the handlebars gives you a direct view of a large amount of information. It has an FTP test to calculate your watt threshold, a Polar 5KHz telemetry pulse receiver and a Bluetooth FTMS module that allows full compatibility with the main cycling simulators. You can connect to Zwift, Kinomap, Rouvy or Bkool without any problem and get the most out of everything virtual cycling has to offer, or participate in their online competitions in the best possible conditions.
