It’s the Bahrain Victorious team’s weapon of choice because time is their enemy. You might think disc brakes slow you down, but in reality they allow you to go faster. Powerful and modulated brakes, whatever the weather conditions, save fractions of a second that make a big difference. The switch to discs also allows for tires up to 28 mm wide, further reducing rolling resistance and improving grip, allowing you to maintain your speed when changing direction. The Time Warp TT is equipped with Flat Mount calipers designed for a 140 or 160mm front rotor paired with a 140mm rear rotor. Thru-axles are perfectly integrated into the fork and frame for minimal aerodynamic drag and excellent handling.
While comfort is not a key criterion in time trials, the world of road cycling has understood the benefits of reducing fatigue to maximize performance. While the Time Warp has retained its stiffness, formidable power transfer, and perfect responsiveness, Merida has introduced the latest version of its S-FLEX seatpost to filter out road irregularities and improve comfort, while maintaining an optimized aerodynamic profile.
The previous version of the Time Warp TT set new standards in weight reduction and aerodynamic improvement by losing 400g and reducing drag by approximately 9 watts at 50 km/h. For the fourth generation of this bike, Merida has maintained this remarkably low weight despite the introduction of disc brakes and the resulting frame modifications.
The cockpit is compatible with the latest Vision extensions, fully integrated cable routing for brake and shifting cables, easy cockpit adjustment for perfect rider positioning, and proven TT geometry.
The Time Warp TT will be available as a frame kit only, which will include the frame, fork, seatpost, headset, and Vision Metron TT aero base-bar cockpit.
