“At Wahoo, we have always been at the forefront of providing athletes with accurate and reliable power data with our series of smart indoor trainers,”  said Katie DuPree, POWRLINK ZERO Product Manager. “We leveraged that expertise to create a power meter pedal that allows athletes to get the same performance data when riding outdoors, with the added benefit of dual-sided entry and excellent aerodynamics.”

The POWRLINK ZERO is built around the legendary Speedplay Zero pedal system, which already had a loyal following before being updated and relaunched by Wahoo in 2021. Like the rest of the Wahoo Speedplay range, the Powrlink Zero features a dual-sided engagement surface, a low stack height, and angular float between 0 and 15°.

The pedal’s design allows for easy transfer of the power meter from one crankset to another, so athletes can benefit from all the advantages of power-based training, no matter which bike they choose.

In terms of power measurement, accuracy is essential.

Wahoo has taken the +/-1% accuracy applied to its KICKR indoor trainers and replicated it in the POWRLINK ZERO. Add to that a rechargeable battery offering 75 hours of use, connection to third-party apps and devices via ANT+ and Bluetooth, and backward compatibility with older Speedplay Zero cleats… The POWRLINK ZERO is a power measurement tool for demanding athletes.

The new POWRLINK ZERO weighs only 250 grams in its single-sided sensor version (left-only power measurement) or 276 grams for the dual-sided sensor version.

Retail Price:

  • €649.99 (single power sensor)
  • €999.99 (dual power sensor)

The new power meter offering complements the existing range of Wahoo Speedplay pedals, which includes the COMP (€149.99), ZERO (€229.99), NANO (€449.99), and AERO (€279.99). The POWRLINK ZERO has already been selected as a power meter by accomplished athletes such as Ironman 70.3 World Champion Lucy Charles-Barclay and the professional women’s road team Le Col Wahoo. The Le Col team will use the performance data provided by the POWRLINK ZERO to prepare for and compete in some of the biggest races such as Paris-Roubaix, La Flèche Wallonne, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
