Aesthetics, integration, comfort, aerodynamics, and durability. These were the research areas during the development of the new Girs Solo. Although cycling is a team sport, when the brand developed this new bike to fight against the elements and competitors, the name Solo seemed obvious.

Integration and the use of disc braking now allow for a bike with a particularly clean aesthetic. This also brings obvious gains in aerodynamics.
Full integration
Cables and housing run directly into the frame from the head tube. In addition to the aerodynamic and aesthetic properties mentioned, this choice also guarantees better shifting and greater longevity.
For lightness, mobility, and compatibility, Girs preferred to opt for exposed routing in the headset when used with an aluminum stem.
Custom comfort
Mastery of carbon and the recent evolution of available tires led to opting for “firm” comfort. The chassis is optimized for the use of 28 mm tubeless tires inflated to 5 bar, but fitted with 25 mm, the bike aims for performance, or conversely, with 32 mm, comfort is prioritized, even allowing for bike packing use and accommodating fenders.
Extensive research was also carried out on the design of the rear triangle. Here, the seat tube is hollowed out and the chainstays are asymmetrical.

Features without forgetting character
Like all Girs bikes, the Solo features aesthetic characteristics, into which air deflectors have been integrated for the first time on the fork crown and seatstays – elements that embody functionality and aerodynamics.

No performance without reliability
Designed for the long term, the Solo aims for durability. When the developers worked on the bike’s technical capabilities, they took particular care to increase resistance in critical stress areas, unlike many modern bikes that are designed with an obsession for weight savings.
Girs believes that the arms race to shave grams everywhere has led to a reputation for carbon frames becoming too fragile. As with the RNR from the same brand, the Solo aims to serve its owner durably, and the frame comes with a 5-year warranty.
