Road-Light Clic-Light: a light signal to stay visible day and night

For its 5th participation in CES Las Vegas 2022, the Toulouse startup Road-Light, specialized in road safety, presented Clic-Light, its new luminous and multi-purpose solution adapted for cyclists and motorcyclists. This designer system makes you visible on the road thanks to the display of light signals on your back, similar to those of a car.

Clic-Light is a complete innovation including: a light module, a high-quality adjustable harness that fits all sizes, a remote control and its handlebar mounting bracket, a USB C charging cable, and the necessary connectors to link the remote control (transmitter) to a vehicle’s rear signaling system, in order to synchronize the Clic-Light with its light signals.

Featuring a sleek rectangular design and attached to a harness with a hook-and-loop fastening system, the light module indicates essential lights to maximize rider visibility: Brake Lights (for motorcycles), Position Lights, Hazard Lights, Right/Left Turn Signals, and Fog Lights at the eye level of the following road user. The Auto Reverse System ensures the correct direction is always indicated, regardless of how the Clic-Light is worn.

Two possible uses

Clic-Light can be used just as easily with a bicycle as with a scooter. Thanks to the small remote control equipped with two multifunction buttons and three feedback LEDs, it operates in:

Cycle mode (Scooter/Bike/Segway/Unicycle): the remote control attaches to the handlebars using the dedicated mount (or in the palm of the hand for unicycles). The user can activate/deactivate the turn signals, Position Light, Fog Light, and Hazard Light. Thanks to the three LEDs, the user receives feedback on the light currently in use.

Motorcycle mode: the remote control, equipped with a connector, is linked to the vehicle’s rear signaling system via an 8-wire cable. In this version of the Light Module, the Position Light automatically illuminates as soon as the vehicle’s ignition key is turned, and the vehicle’s signaling controls are automatically synchronized with the Clic-Light.

An ingenious road safety equipment

Thanks to assured visibility over a distance of at least 400 meters, this “luminous companion” makes you visible on the road day and night. With the Adapt-Light function, the LED power varies according to ambient light, minimizing the risk of rear and side collisions.

Clic-Light is resistant to weather conditions, which is very practical in rain, dense fog, and especially in winter when night falls earlier. Equipped with two rechargeable batteries (Light Module and Remote Control), the Clic-Light has a battery life of approximately 10 days. With a 2-year warranty, it secures every daily journey (short or long).
