A new design for two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe’s Tarmac SL7

Two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe (2020-2021) once again benefits from a personalized design for his Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7, which he will sport from the beginning of the 2022 season. A color he himself helped create and which is, according to the brand, “inspired by emotion, sacrifice and the whirlwind of competition.”

Julian Alaphilippe’s Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 is equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-speed groupset (172.5 cranks, 54-40 chainrings and 11-30 cassette), Roval Alpinist CLX wheels, and Specialized Turbo Cotton tires.

Julian Alaphilippe himself created the decoration of his frame in collaboration with Specialized designers. The Tarmac SL7 of the two-time world champion benefits from beautiful details and subtle patterns, highlighting the traditional white colors and rainbow stripes that cycling world champions have worn since 1927.

The rainbow colors are found on the rear part of the seat tube.

“I am very proud to have a unique and personalized bike. It gave me great emotion when I discovered it because it is the bike I have always dreamed of and which corresponds to who I am. It is as I imagined it: simple but with small details that are important to me. I am happy to have had the chance to collaborate with the Specialized team to achieve this, said the French champion.”

The French champion chose a particular position for his handlebars, so that his hands are well-placed.
The Pro Vibe carbon handlebar is compact. The bar tape is Supacaz.
