In November 2021, the ITA became an associate member of the Movement for Credible Cycling (MPCC), which sees the REVEAL platform as an effective solution to promote the fight against doping and encourages riders to consider using this tool if they have information that can help cycling increase its credibility.

The main actors in cycling, the riders, needed a solution to communicate with the authorities and REVEAL will make this possible.“

The International Testing Agency (ITA) is an independent anti-doping organization that leads clean sport activities for cycling. To increase the effectiveness of its anti-doping programs, the ITA has launched its own reporting platform called REVEAL.

REVEAL is hosted on a secure platform that allows informants to share information with the ITA in a completely confidential and, if they wish, anonymous manner. REVEAL was developed in consultation with athletes and former whistleblowers and features a simple, easy-to-use interface.

Concrete reports of alleged doping violations are one of the most effective ways to keep sport clean. In recent years, the courage of whistleblowers has shed light on many serious wrongdoings endangering the fairness of competitions and the health of athletes.

Information transmitted via REVEAL is processed by the ITA’s “Intelligence & Investigation” department, composed of experts from law enforcement, military and police, criminology, digital and physical forensics, and intelligence. Close cooperation with international sports organizations, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), national anti-doping organizations, and law enforcement agencies will ensure that information shared via REVEAL is applied as effectively as possible for clean sport and the protection of athletes.

The platform has been set up to provide an independent ear where various stakeholders in sports communities can feel absolutely confident that they will be heard if they observe or are victims of doping. REVEAL is an additional opportunity for informants to speak out in addition to existing alert channels offered by WADA (“Speak Up”) and national anti-doping organizations (NADOs).
