New: Selle Italia launches a saddle dedicated to off-road riding

This new model, named X-Bow, is the latest arrival from Selle Italia. It is dedicated to all those who ride off-road, from mountain biking to gravel, and who are looking for a comfortable and stable saddle. The result is achieved thanks to Selle Italia’s new patented rail attachment method, which makes it even more comfortable. Available with TI316 or Fec Alloy rails and in fill and superflow versions.

Selle Italia launches the new X-Bow, a product created for all those looking for optimal stability and support on all types of off-road terrain. Dedicated to all global MTB disciplines, enduro, e-bike, and gravel, the X-Bow is the result of a specific study that led Selle Italia to patent an innovative rail attachment method, which has led to a series of advantages. In the X-Bow, the “structure” is attached to the rearmost part of the saddle, almost on the edge, which means that the area of the saddle body where the sit bones and perineal areas rest is freer, thus minimizing pressure on these areas of the saddle.

The X-Bow rail, in addition to the aforementioned feature, allows for better saddle adjustment because the new rail positioning method increases the useful section for seatpost attachment. This results in greater flexibility for rider fit adjustments. The X-Bow will help to further dampen vibrations from rough terrain and the typical stresses of off-road disciplines thanks to the presence of the shock absorber located between the structure and the saddle body.

The rail is also the protagonist of the saddle’s logo design, precisely to indicate how much the importance of this new product is contained in this part of the saddle.

The X-Bow is a short saddle with a neutral shape and a slightly raised rear for greater stability, and features a particularly soft Soft-Tek cover. It is available in two variants, one with TI316 rails and one with Fec Alloy rails. Both models, which have different graphics, will only be equipped with a perforated saddle body, but it will be possible to choose the padding with or without a Superflow hole, in addition to the availability of S and L sizes.
