SHIMANO France is evolving responsibilities within its management team, effective January 1, 2022. André Ghestem remains President of the company, but Mathieu Arrambourg will now hold the position of General Manager to manage all operational activities of the company, including those of the cycling and fishing departments.

Mathieu Arrambourg, with over 15 years of experience within SHIMANO, naturally finds himself in his new role. He has held several positions at the head of different departments within Shimano France (Marketing Manager, OEM Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager), before spending four years managing the SHIMANO Europe subsidiary responsible for the biketting.com bike fitting service. Since July 2020, he had rejoined the French subsidiary as Deputy General Manager for the cycling activity.

Mathieu Arrambourg: “The challenge for SHIMANO France today and tomorrow is to better support our customers, bike manufacturers and retailers, by helping them highlight our services, as well as the technicality and quality of our products, to consumers. The current situation is obviously complex due to supply delays and market shortages, but all our teams are working hard to ensure that all our customers, small and large, can benefit from the growth of the cycling market. This requires new ways of working with more anticipation, but also even closer relationships with our customers.“

Under the direction of Mathieu Arrambourg, the cycling and fishing divisions will maintain their current organizations: Christophe Ouart remains in charge of cycling sales management, Philippe Guillaume for cycling marketing management, Julien Le Bouffo for fishing sales and marketing management, and Christophe Lahouste for financial and human resources management.

Overall, SHIMANO France’s activities are managed by more than 75 employees, and are expected to generate a turnover of more than 77 million euros in 2021.

SHIMANO Europe, with the help of its subsidiaries, including SHIMANO France, aims to build a global organization capable of evolving with the market and the needs of its customers, who are at the center of its attention.

SHIMANO’s vision is to be your favorite brand in sports, outdoor, and cycling mobility, with the mission of promoting well-being and the joy of enjoying nature and the surrounding world.
