The arrival of the BH Core introduced the Unlimited Cycling concept. These are electric-assist bikes featuring an unprecedented level of integration in road cycling (and gravel), offering weights and riding sensations that have never been so close to those of classic bikes. Their evolution continues with the arrival of the new 2EXMAG motor, which further reinforces the strengths of these electric-assist bikes.

New BH 2EXMAG Motor
The major novelty of the BH Core Carbon range lies in the presence of the new 2EXMAG motor. This component plays an essential role in allowing the cyclist to experience the sensations that these electric-assist bikes aim to transmit. It all starts with a revisited visual integration level, thanks to a frame whose aesthetics are close to that of a classic bike. Weight is another asset of this range, and the 2EXMAG motor is 10% lighter than the 2ESMAG, weighing in at only 2.1 kg. And all this without any loss of performance: a power of 250 W and a maximum torque of 65 Nm.

The compact structure and the position of the motor, placed at the lowest and most central point of the bike, help maintain a low center of gravity and do not hinder the fluidity of movements during riding. The presence of new side fins optimizes heat dissipation so that performance remains stable, even in the most demanding use situations.

Certain aspects of the 2EXMAG motor are essential for the BH Core Carbon to offer sensations more comparable than ever to those felt on any classic road bike. On the one hand, the use of a new telemetric torque sensor provides an unprecedentedly smooth and progressive level of assistance, capable of reaching 300%, while providing natural pedaling throughout the motor’s power range. The assistance capacity, at cadences up to 110 rpm, enhances the sensations experienced on the road by adding a sporty character. The speed sensor is now integrated to obtain more precise information without external interference. As with the previous version, no additional friction is felt when the motor assistance is off, allowing you to pedal at speeds above 25 km/h without any constraint. Furthermore, its compact dimensions allow for a particularly moderate Q-factor of only 163 mm, comparable to that of any other traditional bike.

The battery capacity is still 540 Wh and allows for riding up to 165 km; optionally, it is still possible to add the additional 180 Wh XPro battery, which installs manually in the bottle cage and extends the range up to 220 km.

High-End Road Bike Details and Construction
The BH Core Carbon models clearly draw their inspiration from the BH racing bike range, down to the smallest details. Their aero look indeed recalls the RS1s, and like these machines, they are characterized by Kamm Tail aerodynamic lines with a specific, also aero, seatpost. The use of BH’s best carbon, combined with the hollow core internal molding (HCIM) manufacturing process, results in very light weights, namely 1,370 g for the frame and 410 g for the fork.

The range also uses the ACR system for full internal cable routing and a clean look complemented by the presence of the Core display, integrated into the stem, whose LED lighting allows you to see, at a glance, the selected assistance level and the battery charge level. Note that the assistance level is changed by pressing a specific button.

The BH Core Carbon range comes in four build configurations, two of which are road-oriented while the other two are dedicated to gravel riding. The entry price for the range is €5,699. All models are eligible for the BH Unique customization program, which allows for full configuration of the bike’s aesthetics.
