Scott unveils its 2022 Addict RC and Foil bike range

The Addict RC and Foil are designed with incredible precision, paying attention to the smallest details. The result: bikes that allow riders to achieve their goals, whether it’s winning a world-renowned victory or leaving your friends behind on the Sunday ride.

The WorldTour Team DSM bike, the Addict RC, is a bike ready to tackle any terrain. It is extremely lightweight and features one of the most high-performance carbon structures to date. Since its first release in 2008, it has featured on several podiums at the highest level. The advanced molding structure used by Scott minimizes bonding joints and leaves no extra carbon inside the frame, resulting in an extremely lightweight frame.

Integration

At the front, the Syncros Creston IC Combo or Creston IC Bar + stem offer completely integrated cable routing across the entire range, without compromising performance thanks to the now patented Excentric Bicycle Fork Shaft. This combination provides enough space in front of the steerer tube to guide mechanical and electronic shift cables as well as both hydraulic hoses completely internally. In addition to looking incredibly clean, cable integration offers an aerodynamic advantage by improving airflow. Developed in collaboration with ergonomics partner GebioMized, the handlebar is designed for smooth and comfortable handling.

Lightness and Stiffness

The Addict RC features a sophisticated layup of ultra-high modulus carbon fibers along the bike’s “stiffness backbone,” resulting in an extremely stiff bottom bracket shell. This offers a 14.5% increase over the previous Addict RC. Combine this with the advanced molding structure that minimizes the number of bonding joints and an ultra-light seat clamp, and you can see the attention to detail on the Addict RC. All this means that a medium-sized Addict RC Ultimate weighs only 6.9 kg.

Aerodynamics

Scott’s patented aerodynamic profile design has been applied to the Addict’s main tubes (down tube, head tube, seat tube, seatpost, seatstays) with the aim of optimizing airflow and reducing overall drag. The lowered seatstays reduce the space behind the seat tube and seatstays and prevent air stagnation and consequently drag. The integrated cable routing not only provides a clean and high-end look but also improves airflow at the front.

Scott Addict RC PRO

Lightweight? Obviously. Fast? You bet. With fully integrated cable routing, the Addict RC Pro is now equipped with the new 12-speed Shimano Dura-Ace with its ultra-fast and precise shifting. The HMX carbon frame, combined with Zipp 303SE wheels and complemented by full carbon Syncros components, ensures that the Addict RC Pro will give you all the competitive advantage you need. Whether it’s taking your town’s KOMs one by one, sprinting to the finish at the top of the mountain, or outmaneuvering your opponents in your local criterium, you have the right bike.

Integration

Thanks to the Syncros Creston iC SL Carbon combo, all Foil models now feature fully integrated cable routing for mechanical and electronic shifting. In collaboration with internationally renowned partner GebioMized, Scott has created the ultimate ergonomic shape for cyclists. The V-shape has reduced weight and optimized stiffness, and even allows for more aero by sliding in the new bike computer integration.

Aerodynamic Design

Every design decision was made with the goal of making this bike as fast as possible. The core of the Scott Foil’s aerodynamic construction remains its patented aerodynamic profile design – F01 technology makes it one of the lightest Aero bikes to date. The seatpost is perfectly integrated and provides a clean transition between the seat tube and the seatpost to maximize aerodynamic efficiency. The low seatstay attachment combined with its slim shape allows for a smooth riding experience, even on rough roads. The head tube features an aerodynamic profile that particularly excels at low yaw angles in addition to ensuring the perfect transition between the frame and the fork. Each of these design choices combines to bring a bike to market designed to make every cyclist faster.
