Women’s Tour de France: A Return in 2022

The Tour de France Femmes returns in 2022, with a route that favors Eastern France over eight stages and 1029 km. On the program: four flat stages, two hilly stages, and two mountain stages.

Marion Rousse, the director of the new Tour de France Femmes, does not hide her pride: “It’s a new challenge, new responsibilities, and a real honor to be the director of the Tour de France Femmes. Since I stopped my career, women’s cycling has nothing to do with what it was, with new teams, new races, and new budgets,” she explains. “This stage race is a jewel that we must cherish and make last. I am here and I don’t intend to let go.“

The women will compete over eight stages, the first of which will take place on the Champs-Elysées, just as the men finish their 2022 Tour de France. A good way to ensure the visibility of the women’s event.
