Julian Alaphilippe’s new custom Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7

At Milan-Turin, which Julian Alaphilippe will race today, he will debut his new World Champion jersey, obtained thanks to his magnificent victory on the Leuven circuit in Belgium. While the rainbow stripes have been his daily attire for a year, he will launch a new edition of his Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 at the Italian semi-classic.

Specialized graphic designer, Tom Briggs, created a design for each of this year’s World Champions. From XCO Short Track Champions Sina Frei and Christopher Blevins to Road World Champion, Julian Alaphilippe, the effect created by the stripes of this iconic jersey is always present.

Tom Briggs specifies that “the World Champion bikes were inspired by the swirl of competition. That moment when all the rider’s efforts focus on pushing harder on the pedals. Their vision starts to blur and their eyes cross. If you look at the World Champion top tube logo, it’s as if their vision starts to double and the World Champion rainbow stripes start to fade on the down tube and head tube. The silver granite represents the swirl of thoughts, emotions, training, and everything that goes into that singular moment of glory as they become World Champions.”
