After a turbulent recent past, including a short-lived acquisition by Rossignol, Time is trying to start fresh. While manufacturing is no longer Made in France, frame quality remains, and French distribution is now handled by Alternativsport. This is an opportunity to look at the 2022 range.

The ALPE D’HUEZ 01 is the frame dedicated to climbing, weighing less than 900g. Its geometry is specifically designed for agility and comfort. By combining Vectran© fibers with ultra-resistant high-modulus carbon, Time aims for a compromise between weight and stiffness – the perfect combination for better climbing.

The ALPE D’HUEZ 21 makes performance more accessible, both in terms of handling and price. Instead of the Vectran© fiber used in the Alpe d’Huez 01, Time has used basalt filaments with a lower proportion of high-modulus carbon and more high-strength carbon. The modified composition still aims for comfort and softens the ride.

The SCYLON is the aerodynamic frame in the range – a pure racing machine designed from fluid analysis and simulations. The shapes are optimized to allow air to glide through the frame’s curves. Layers of Vectran© carbon fiber and ultra-resistant high-modulus carbon are used here.

The AKTIV version is only available for disc brake versions. The AKTIV fork incorporates dynamic dampers that reduce vibrations caused by road imperfections: -30% vibration. This comfort leads to better long-term performance and increased steering precision.
