From Monday, September 20 to Sunday, September 26, Suunto, a manufacturer of sports watches, encourages its community to accumulate positive elevation gain. Walking, running, skiing, cycling – all human-powered activities are good for achieving goals and leading one’s country to victory… Because the Suunto Vertical Week is a global community event. Everyone gets active to earn points for their country in the hope of seeing their homeland achieve the most elevation gain by the end of the week.

Since 2016, Suunto has organized the World Vertical Week every year in February and March, giving winter sports an unfair advantage and allowing skiers to monopolize the top of the rankings.
This September, for the first time, a summer edition of World Vertical Week will be held – let’s see who wins!
Before the event, each participant is invited to set their own challenge on the Suunto app. Athletes then have one week to chase positive elevation gain on their favorite playground, in the city, in the countryside, or in the mountains, as long as it climbs!

The activities completed will be taken into account to establish a country ranking to find out which nation climbed the most and which sport was practiced the most. Every activity counts to help your country reach the highest step of the podium.
