Specialized announces that Peter Sagan will remain part of the Specialized family for the upcoming seasons. Scott Jackson, Head of S-Racing at Specialized, states: “Peter has been an integral part of Specialized since 2015. Together, we have shared great moments: three consecutive World Championships, his record seventh green jersey at the Tour de France, his very first cyclamen jersey at the Giro d’Italia, three national championships, and victories in cycling monuments, including Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders. What’s most exciting is the story we will write in the future.“
While the relationship between Peter and Specialized is long-standing, it continues with a new team, Jean-René Bernaudeau’s Team TotalEnergies. Advancing Specialized’s “Made in Racing” philosophy of partnering with the best teams and riders to improve bike and equipment performance for every rider, Specialized will be the official supplier of Team TotalEnergies for bikes, tires, shoes, and helmets, as well as Roval wheels and components for the 2022-2023 seasons. According to Mike Sinyard, Founder and CEO of Specialized Bicycles: “Peter has played a significant role in writing Specialized’s history on the World Tour. We are very fortunate to continue this partnership together, and we look forward to the years to come. Furthermore, we anticipate great things from Team TotalEnergies. We admire their commitment to the transition to renewable energies for a sustainable future. Together, we will innovate to help cyclists around the world move the planet forward.“
