In your opinion: what is the star of the pharmacy in the dietary supplements section? If there’s one that has seen growing success in recent years (especially among vegetarians and vegans), it’s Spirulina. But is it really the miracle food supplement it promises to be?

I wanted to verify, during and after a three-month course, if the benefits lived up to what is claimed everywhere. And since I was testing a new product, I preferred to knock on Nature Attitude’s door again, as they have consistently given us concrete results with the other supplements we’ve experimented with in recent months. Clement Pauwels, a trainer for the pharmaceutical group, had invited me to yet another live Instagram consultation five months ago, to establish a precise diagnosis of the situation and set up a personalized action plan to find an effective and lasting solution to some of my deficiencies related to my significant volume of physical activity and a diet sometimes difficult to regulate in such a busy and unpredictable schedule.
Why Spirulina?
Initially perceived as a means to combat malnutrition, Spirulina has been a very popular supplement for just under twenty years. And not just for athletes. And for good reason, the list of virtues attributed to it continues to grow: it would fill nutritional deficiencies, strengthen the immune system, lower cholesterol levels, fight fatigue, and be a natural antioxidant doubled with a detoxifier…

Rich in protein
Presented in tablet form, in the version I tested, this organic Spirulina has certain nutritional advantages according to Clement Pauwels. And when the Nature Attitude trainer guides us after his diagnosis, he also explains that this edible organism is a species of bacteria but easily digestible. In fact, this substance is half-algae / half-bacteria. It is naturally present in the lakes of Africa, Latin America, and South Asia. And a priori, Spirulina is now also cultivated industrially all over the world. In France alone, 30 tons are produced each year.
The advantages of this Spirulina
The main strength of this Spirulina is its high protein content. A priori, it would be around 70%. In other words, more than that of fish (25%), or soy (35%) or legumes (14%). This richness must, however, be considered in light of the small quantities consumed each day. We are talking about six tablets per day as part of this course.
Nevertheless, quality is added to quantity. Indeed, this Spirulina contains almost all amino acids (there are 20), including a good proportion of essential amino acids that the body cannot produce. A detail that is important, since none of these 20 “chemical bricks” used for protein construction must be missing for our cells to function correctly.
A good source of vitamins
This Spirulina also contains a good dose of vitamins thanks to a good drying method. Indeed, vitamins are sensitive to heat. And in the way of proceeding here, Clément Pauwels explains the care taken in the production of this substance by the laboratory. The most abundant vitamin in this organic supplement is provitamin A, a molecule that can be converted into vitamin A. And according to Dr. Laurent Aumont, a nutrition expert who has been following me for years, he estimates that it would be necessary to take between three and six grams of Spirulina to cover daily vitamin A needs. Nevertheless, it is B vitamins that seem to be missing. And especially B12. However, this is particularly interesting for vegans since B12 is found exclusively in foods excluded from their diet (meat, fish, egg). And unfortunately, it had already been proven that a large part of the vitamin B12 found in Spirulina cannot be assimilated by the human body.
A correct mineral content as well
It also contains: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper. This Spirulina therefore contains a good number of minerals, whose levels seem to be enriched during cultivation, as Clement told us. Regarding iron, it is estimated, according to Dr. Aumont, that a dose of 10 grams of Spirulina would cover up to 200% of the needs of a child aged between 6 months and 3 years. By comparison, a dose of 38 grams of whole grains is enough to cover a child’s iron needs. This Spirulina also contains interesting amounts of magnesium and potassium. On the other hand, it is not a very good source of zinc, selenium, and iodine.
All this is very interesting, but it is nevertheless important to remember that the consumption of this “miracle substance” is only useful if it is accompanied by a balanced diet. And in the same way, no one has ever really managed to convince us to what extent the nutrients it contains are properly absorbed by the body.

My opinion
Many of the health virtues attributed to Spirulina currently have no scientific basis. No matter how much I’ve researched, I can’t find enough evidence to say that Spirulina helps with digestion or weight loss, or that it reduces anxiety and stress or anything else prodigious. But my three-month test did show a beneficial effect of this micro-algae on reducing fatigue and optimizing recovery. It should also be noted that it is not a medicine, but a food supplement. And for my part, I was also quickly convinced of the effectiveness of this substance offered by Nature Attitude. The food supplement that Noémie Gillet and Clement Pauwels offered me to try meets my requirements. It is a food supplement that truly contributes to my well-being, which has been causing me more and more problems with years of all kinds of excesses.
In summary, what I observed…
- Better sleep
- A gradual disappearance of fatigue
- The sensation of being in much better shape after a week
- Better skin quality
- A disappearance of this sometimes jaundiced color and better tissue quality in general
- A better general state
- An impression of better immunity
- Improved mental health and the impression of a stronger mind
The Nature Attitude advantages
As I already told you for my three previous tests, the Nature Attitude laboratory is Breton. And a Breton will always favor a Breton! But beyond this misplaced chauvinism, it is above all that Nature Attitude respects its commitments in terms of quality. Made in France and also organic in this field is rare enough to be highlighted. Furthermore, the formula is highly concentrated in active ingredients. And the components found in the formula offer optimal bioavailability.
To conclude
In conclusion, Spirulina is not superior to fresh vegetables and fruits, but it is simply an effective way to increase your intake of carotenoids, iron, and protein with a single food. Currently, no study proves its superiority over other foods in the prevention or treatment of diseases. But this formula that I was able to test for a little over two and a half months, and which follows a diagnosis during a live Instagram consultation with Clement Pauwels, trainer at Nature Attitude laboratories, is a very, very effective complement to a better-selected diet. The contribution of all these precious micronutrients in this unique complex combines proteins, vitamins, and minerals that have solidly contributed to reducing my fatigue. I am really happy with the result and will probably renew this same course at the beginning of winter.
| The +: Proven effectiveness, excellent investment and effectiveness/price ratio, favors a quick return to a good general state of form The -: It remains a supplement. And there is no sufficiently well-founded study that proves its effectiveness. This remains subjectively my opinion and the results of my feelings RECOMMENDED PRICE: €15.75200 g / 400 tablets Nature Attitude, ZA de Kermassonnette, Email: contact@ |
