Le Vélo Mad, Official E-Bike of the Tour de France 2021

As part of its “Cycling for the Future” campaign, the Tour de France has launched the “Tour de France Cycling City” label to encourage the development of everyday cycling facilities in municipalities. To continue promoting cycling, the legendary cycling race is partnering with the Rouen-based company, Le Vélo Mad, to create the official electric-assist bicycle (EAB) of the 2021 Tour de France. One hundred units of the new model, Le Sport +, in the colors of the Grande Boucle, are being released in a limited edition.

Le Vélo Mad, a French company with EABs designed and assembled in France

Launched in October 2018, Le Vélo Mad is one of the players making cities more pleasant by enabling daily cycling for commuting, shopping, or leisure.

Designed and assembled in France in Machecoul at La Manufacture Française du Cycle, France’s leading bicycle manufacturer, Le Vélo Mad is sold on its website: https://levelomad.com but also in its showrooms in Rouen, Paris, and Bordeaux.

The French company offers three models: Le Sport, L’Urbain, and Le Sport +. While most components are produced abroad, the design and assembly are indeed “Made in France.”

Le Sport + Tour de France

Le Vélo Mad adopts the colors of the Tour de France. Blue, Grey, and Yellow replace the Blue, White, Red of the logo. From its original version, in addition to the color of the logo and the bike (matte black instead of glossy black), the French Berthoud saddle branded Tour de France replaces the Brooks saddle.

Presence at Fan Parks and in Le Vélo Mad Showrooms

The Sport + Tour de France will be featured on podiums during the Grande Boucle from June 26 to July 18, as well as at the Fan Parks. Present in 4 cities (Brest, Laval, Albertville, and Libourne), this animation area will allow the public to discover the Le Vélo Mad stand. The bike will be exhibited there with the possibility of testing it.

Le Vélo Mad has three showrooms in Paris, Rouen, and Bordeaux. The Sport+ Tour de France is already on display in these showrooms. The public has the opportunity to test the bike in these three cities.
