After Yokohama in Japan, the world elite of short-distance triathlon met today in Leeds, England, for the 2nd round of the 2021 World Triathlon Championship Series.
This round took place for the French Team without Vincent Luis, who, bothered by a slight calf pain, preferred not to take any risks with a view to the Tokyo Olympic race which will take place in 50 days.
Victory went to young British Alex Yee in 1h43’27. At home, he finished ahead of American Morgan Pearson (1h43’52) and Belgian Marten Van Riel (1h44’03).
Alex Yee destroys the elite men’s field to WIN #WTCSLeeds on home-ground with friends and family cheering.
