Liv Cycling, the brand dedicated 100% to women, today introduces the new Langma Disc range, offering cyclists an even lighter, stiffer, and faster bike that outperforms the competition. From demanding cyclists to UCI WorldTour competitors, the Langma Disc range offers 11 models worldwide for those looking to lead the pack or achieve unparalleled performance.
“We are committed to designing the most advanced bikes on the market, and the new Langma Disc range is no exception,” says Phoebe Liu, Head of Branding for Liv, Giant, Momentum, and Cadex, the Giant Group brands. “This bike builds on what made it successful in the first place: its original design as a versatile racing bike that excels on climbs, designed for riders who want to push their limits.“
Named after “Chomolungma,” the Tibetan name for Mount Everest, the Langma is a versatile road bike that excels on climbs, designed for performance. The Langma Disc is built with the latest generation of aerodynamic tubes and offers customized contact points, ensuring an optimal fit for more power and performance from the very first pedal stroke. It was developed by Liv engineers, product managers, and professional athletes in collaboration with leading aerodynamics experts. This makes it the fastest and most responsive road bike in the Liv range.

“The first generation of the Langma was already a successful racing bike, but our new carbon frame raises the bar even higher,” says Sophie Shih, Chief Engineer for Liv Cycling’s road product development. “Last year, our WorldTour team tested the prototypes, and we incorporated their feedback into the final design. We evolved the geometry to allow for greater tire compatibility, optimized the weight-to-stiffness ratio, and improved the overall aerodynamics of this new bike.“
The Langma has proven itself on the WorldTour with 47 victories and 6 national championship wins since its launch four years ago. Cory Rivera rode to victory in 2018 at the US National Championship on the Langma; Marianne Vos took over during her two years with the CCC-Liv team, securing 23 stage and general classification victories, including La Course by le Tour de France, the Women’s World title, and many others. After riding with the CCC-Liv (now Liv Racing WorldTeam) cyclists during the prototype testing phase, the all-new Langma Advanced SL Disc is the official bike for their 2021 racing season.

“The Langma Advanced SL is an incredible bike, both fast and efficient,” said Lotte Kopecky, a rider with the Liv Racing WorldTeam who recently rode the new Langma to victory in March at Le Samyn des Dames. “It has breathtaking power and responsiveness, which gives me confidence when I’m going for the win.“
Liv has designed 3 series of Langma Disc for a total of 11 models across the global range, including the Langma Advanced SL Disc series (1 model), the Langma Advanced Pro Disc series (3 models), and the Langma Advanced Disc series (7 models).
In France, 6 models will be distributed: the Langma Advanced SL Disc series (1 model), the Langma Advanced Pro Disc series (3 models), and the Langma Advanced Disc series (2 models).

The top-of-the-range model, Langma Advanced SL Disc, includes the following performance factors:
- Lightweight
The new Langma Advanced SL was designed with longer, continuous carbon fibers for increased stiffness and weight savings, including 60g less on the scale for the frame-fork set. The Langma’s handling becomes sharper and more responsive; it accelerates immediately at the slightest input, smooths out rough roads, and flies uphill. To save a few precious grams, the new Langma Advanced SL is simply covered with a thin layer of translucent varnish, subtly revealing the carbon fibers under its colored reflections.
- Optimal Stiffness
The new Langma Advanced SL has achieved the feat of gaining stiffness while becoming lighter, thanks to a specific, unprecedented design: laser cutting of carbon parts, robotic placement, new T1000 fiber, unidirectional fibers… Its all-new symmetrical fork gains an additional 50% in lateral stiffness, significantly boosting the precision and responsiveness of the front end during changes of direction and the most explosive sprints.
- Aerodynamic Advantage
The ultimate aerodynamic advantage of the new Langma Advanced SL was achieved through new tubes precisely designed to save watts at high speeds. Their truncated ellipse profiles have been validated in the wind tunnel and in competition by the Liv Racing WorldTeam. The Langma Advanced SL also features a Variant SLR carbon seatpost, a Liv Contact SLR carbon handlebar, and the all-new CADEX 36 wheels for an uncompromising aerodynamic advantage.
The 2022 Langma Advanced Pro Disc and Advanced Disc series are both equipped with Advanced-Grade Composite technology, truncated elliptical tubes, and a redesigned aerodynamic symmetrical composite fork with disc brake integration and increased tire clearance for up to 32mm tires.
Equipped with the all-new Liv handlebar, new Liv saddles, Variant seatpost, and tubeless wheels, these series offer ultimate performance and adjustments.
Available from XXS to L across all models, it will be available from early July at Liv retailers and directly online.
