Italian helmet brand KASK and eyewear brand KOO today announce their respective partnerships as official suppliers to the Giro d’Italia and the multi-stage amateur e-bike event – the Giro-E – which takes place from May 8-30.
As official helmet supplier, KASK will present each stage winner of the pink jersey race with a custom UTOPIA helmet designed in partnership with renowned artist Aldo Drudi. Having worked with sporting legends, Drudi is known for his distinctive designs that have adorned the helmets of America’s Cup sailing teams Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and Emirates Team New Zealand, as well as MotoGP riders Valentino Rossi, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo and Enea Bastianini. Drudi will turn his hand to the world of cycling to deliver a series of truly special ‘trophies’ to this year’s Giro stage winners.

In addition to its official sponsorship of the race, KASK will have a strong presence at the 104th Giro d’Italia through its partnership with INEOS Grenadiers and EOLO-Kometa. The latter team, founded by KASK ambassadors Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso, will be competing in the Giro d’Italia for the first time this year. INEOS Grenadiers will be looking to repeat last year’s success in which Tao Geoghegan Hart lifted the Trofeo Senza Fine at the end of a race that highlighted the best of the sport’s young talent. This year, Egan Bernal will be looking to take overall victory, wearing KASK’s range of award-winning helmets, including the latest WASABI.

While KASK will be worn by both INEOS Grenadiers and EOLO-Kometa, KOO Eyewear’s partnership with this team in addition to Trek-Segafredo will see their sunglasses – including the SPECTRO and DEMOS models – worn by Italy’s Vincenzo Nibali and the Netherlands’ Bauke Mollema. A special edition of the SPECTRO model will be released in honor of this 2021 Giro.
